A lost memory

I saw this photo fixed to a bus stop by a bit of peeling sticker.  Obviously taken in a passport booth some years ago (how long since the last of the B&W ones went?).  Looks like someone with their granddad, very likely been in their wallet for many years and was accidentally pulled out, maybe while getting on or off a bus.  I wonder who the boy is - rather, the middle aged man that he'd now be.  I'm guessing this is a much loved memory which he'll be sorely missing.  I hope he finds his photo.
